Our founder and President Andy Bos is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional with experience in financial advising and investment management since 2000. A Michigan native, Andy earned his BA in Business from Calvin University. He loves watching baseball, playing golf, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.

Our client service manager, Suzi Bos is a trained and certified Health Insurance Advisor who has been helping our clients navigate their options for Medicare, small group and individual health insurance since 2005. Suzi's favorite pastime is growing things: houseplants, children, businesses (including a coffeehouse),
communities, and even a school.

Rachel Swierenga manages EFA's firm compliance and specializes in small business accounting and payroll. She is also a trained and certified Health and Life Insurance Advisor. The daughter of a stockbroker, Rachel grew up reading the newspaper stocks report every night with her dad.

Peter Bos graduated from Calvin University’s School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning. He started at Eastown Financial in 2023 and has now expanded his role as a financial advisor. His ideal day includes exploring Northern Michigan golf courses with his dad and brother, celebrating Lions or Tigers wins, and sitting around a campfire laughing with friends and family.

Grand Rapids native and GVSU grad, Partner Dan VandenBerg has worked in financial advising and investment management since he started at Eastown Financial in 2009. A college rugby player, Dan enjoys all things sports – from his kids’ games to pro teams. While he is happy to be on any of the beaches on Lake Michigan, Dan would prefer to be on one in Leelanau County.
